Announcing a new joint venture: Taking Zoom classes with OLLI at American University!

A couple of years ago, a study leader from OLLI at American University started to teach Zoom courses for Osher at CMU, and a study leader from Osher at CMU started teaching for OLLI at American University.  Starting this spring, students from both Osher programs would jointly enroll in specifically identified Zoom courses together!

Next Brown Bag event on January 17th: SIG Brown Bag and a Movie! Plus, the Spring 2025 schedule is here!

The 3rd Friday of each month for this past year Osher has had an event - Lunch & A Movie. We meet in the lounge for a “bag lunch” at 11:30 followed by a movie at 12:15.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: We're Bringing Back the Osher at CMU Waiting List!

After three years of it being disbanded, Osher at CMU has reached the maximum number of members that is needed to re-establish the waiting list. We expect the list to be reinstated early January 2025.

Osher at CMU Woo-Hoo: Come play canasta on Friday afternoons with your Osher at CMU friends!

A year ago one of our members set out to start a Canasta SIG in our lounge.  Eight showed up the first day and by word of mouth the group is now at 36 and growing.  If you don't know how to play, it doesn't matter because everyone is eager to coach you into becoming a competitive player.  It has become a fun way to meet other Osher at CMU members and to spend a Friday afternoon.
